Enrollment and Tuition

How can I enroll my child into MindBloom Preschool & MicroSchool?

Enrollment at MindBloom Preschool & MicroSchool is simple and is on a first come, first served basis. If there are seats available, parents will be able to enroll their child. We do not hold lotteries, but we do have a waitlist for our program, which is $150.00 per entry on the list.

Contact us to schedule a time for you and your child to visit our school. We will be happy to answer any questions that you may have. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to meet us and learn more about what we have to offer. This time spent gives all involved an opportunity to get to know one another and to make sure that all personalities mix well, which is important and helps to ensure that all parties are comfortable with their surroundings and expectations.

After an onsite visit, the registration process may begin. There are also forms to be read and completed. Once forms are read, completed, signed, and the deposit has been paid, your child's space is then reserved and the final step is to decide on a start date.

How large are classes at MindBloom Preschool & MicroSchool?

Our program accepts only small groups of children into each class, which allots for smaller teacher-child ratios of 1:4/1:6.

How are classes taught at MindBloom Preschool & MicroSchool?

The program uses a rotating schedule with transitions between the blackboard, tables, and floor to teach all the daily routines and children are taught together. We do not separate children into age groups, as we have found that children learn best from each other when they are of varied age and classroom leadership naturally blossoms when all the students are not the same age.

The target languages are spoken 100% of the children's learning time.

We only speak English at home. Will learning another language hurt my child or prevent my child from communicating in English?

This concern is common among most families that are English speaking, but rest assured that children who are from English-speaking households or households where at least one parent speaks a language other than English, typically learn more vocabulary and perform better in school when exposed to at least one other language at an early age. This can even be true for children who have a language delay.

Via the Internet, there is much scientific research supporting children's language acquisition at an early age and the gains we have seen in our program are real proof that this research is correct. If you would like to learn more about this topic, you are encouraged to reach out to us, so that we can tell you more and invite you to a tour of our program!

Is STEM apart of your program?

Yes, indeed! MindBloom Preschool & MicroSchool will support children's quantitative reasoning with technology, math, and science-related activities where they will experience learning with diverse mediums. We use MacMillan Science Early Activities as the basis for our curriculum.

What health and safety precautions does MindBloom Preschool & MicroSchool follow during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Upon drop off and pick up times, we will require all drop of and pick up persons to wait in the hallway near the sign in table for children to be escorted inside and out to waiting adults to go home. Masks or face coverings ARE optional for all pickup and drop off persons to enter our building, including children.  Our staff may wear masks at all times during interactions with children and each other.  Handwashing is done throughout the day by staff and children, approximately every 45 minutes to an hour, during transitions, before and after toileting, or whenever there is a sooner need to.

Depending on the social climate at the time of camp, our staff may physically take temperatures of drop off/pickup persons and children upon arrival for pickup and drop off and we ask that anyone dropping off or picking up a child not be sick when they arrive with children or during pickup, nor should they ever bring sick children to our program if they are exhibiting any of these symptoms:

  • A temperature of 99 degrees F. or higher
  • Vomiting or diarrhea has occurred more than once in the past 24 hours

How often is cleaning done?

MindBloom Prechool & MicroSchool is thoroughly cleaned throughout the day every day, which includes cleaning and sanitizing all materials and toys the children handle. Rugs and furniture are cleaned regularly and after spills and messes. Our cleaning products are effective in reducing the spread of germs and illnesses.

How does MindBloom Preschool & MicroSchool deal with child discipline and guidance?

Here, we re-direct undesirable behavior, engage in positive modeling, and always speak with the children about what is acceptable and not acceptable ways to behave. Much of our daily curriculum will reinforce these habits, so that the children will have constant reminders of how they can positively get along with others. We believe in healthy conflict resolution with positive encouragement and parental involvement in this area is always key in how to handle behavior.
